Ten yards of linen check, six pairs of stockings, four yards of linen cloth, two sacks and a yard of flannel. Total value=5 pennies. They
worked at a weaving mill. Tried in the court at Lancaster Castle, they were sentenced to transportation for 7 years. Arrived in Sydney on 14 Oct 1818 on the ship 'Tottenham.' By 1825, James is a landowner at Castle Hill and Joseph a cooper.1
