For those of us who commute along Burwood Highway each day the site of the new World Vision building is beginning to be a sight as well.
Yes, it's going up.
The ground has been excavated. The good soil piled up for re-use.
A forest of concrete piles has risen on the site like lopped trees. The tops mark the level of the upper floor. Part of the pre-cast concrete wall is already in place.
Soon it will start to look like a building.
Although progress seems fast, work is actually almost two weeks behind schedule. Our unseasonably wet summer threw calculations out a bit.
Still, our move-in date of next February looks possible.
